Way to go Biden!
After putting up with challenges from within and without, Biden's accomplishments finally see center-stage.
President Biden has put up with a lot. Ongoing personal insults from the Maga sludge; challenges from progressives in his own party; bleak poll numbers; battling COVID. But despite all that, Joe Biden is coming through. A small list of his large accomplishments, so far:
The addition of 528,000 new jobs in the most recent quarter, a 50-year high
Unemployment down to 3.5%, the lowest number in 50 years.
The U.S. Chips and Science Act (CHIPS) and the Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics Act (PACT), both passed by Congress.
The killing of al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri, successor to Bin-Laden
Gas prices down to a 50-day low
Imminent passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, funding Climate Action, Health Care, and establishing a minimum 15% tax on corporations.
Allowing the DOJ to pursue Trump & Co. without White House interference, a demonstration of how government is supposed to function.
Operating above the fray, like a mature chief executive focused on his goals instead of a multitude of distractions (imagine that).
The Authoritarian Party (formerly the Republican Party) was caught flat-footed by the onslaught of good news for Biden. They were already facing mid-term backlash for championing and then celebrating the death of Roe v. Wade and the growing prospect of Trump & his cronies being charged with crimes. Now, Biden’s accomplishments are poised to help turn the November red tide into a Blue Tsunami in November. Ignore the polls. The Authoritarians are treading on thin, thin ice.
The Authoritarian Party Hosts an Authoritarian (of course)
Something that would have seemed impossible 6 years ago, the Authoritarian Party (formerly the Republican Party) held their annual CPAC conference in Texas (where else). Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban kicked off CPAC to thunderous applause, just days after a senior advisor quit over a "pure Nazi speech." As you may or may not recall, GOP “leadership” traveled to Hungary a few weeks ago, to pay adoration to Orban, a man dedicated to replacing democracy with “illiberal democracy,” founded on a sick interpretation of “Christian” philosophy. Here at home at CPAC, Trump and other American authoritarian wanna-be’s gave a standing ovation to Orban as he extolled authoritarian plans for global domination. His own advisor quit, calling it “pure Nazi speech” that was “worthy of Goebbels.”

The DOJ is coming for Trump. Not a minute too soon.
The Justice Department is reportedly in direct communication with Trump’s legal team, the latest development in the escalation of the January 6 investigation. His lawyers have warned him an indictment is possible.
